Princess parties are a very popular theme for little girls.  An easy way to make your princess birthday party theme come to life is having a painter come in and turn sweet little girls into a princess of their dreams!

This look was created with accessorizing with Jewels!

Each child gets to create their own princess look by choosing their favorite colors.  And we never forget the glitter! :)

I just cannot believe that we are already around the corner to Halloween.   This year, I have decided to set up Halloween makeup appointments the weekend prior to Halloween to enhance your costumes.   For only $20-25, you can forget about wearing uncomfortable masks and show up with a true piece of artwork on your face.  From princesses to zombies, I can handle it all! :)

These examples were enhanced with their own contact lenses.

Email me (marisol@zeebree.com) to schedule an appointment.  I will be at the Embassy Suites Boston Logan Airport the weekend prior to Halloween.

Please inquire about me traveling to your event! Please note, this is for the Boston area only.

This past week, I had the opportunity to face paint for the Newton, MA  July 4th Celebration.   Face painting is typically a very popular activity for the kids and my day can get pretty hectic.  For these types of events,  I could easily end up painting for about 8-10 hours straight with very little time to rest, eat, let alone take pictures.    That is why when one of my first customers of the day offered to take a few photos and email them to me, I was elated.

.. and to think that the forecast said it was supposed to rain all day.  For once,  I was happy the weather reporters were wrong! :)   Thank you Ben for sharing these pictures of your adorable family with me.

A few weeks ago, I had a face painting birthday party in Boston, MA that requested that create a design that uses both Glitter Tattoos and Face Paint together!  What a genius idea!

Glitter Tattoos with face paint

The “J&E” were written next to the glitter tattoo hearts adding more personalization.  Of course, the letters will wash out with water, leaving the two hearts for a week or so.  More information about Glitter Tattoos can be found here.

My recent project, matching the Aviator Crib Bedding Set by Jo Jo Designs.

AIrplaneMilesOne of my favorite features about this design is its ability to grow into an older child design ans he grows.  M’s mom was clearly thinking ahead.  After he has outgrown his babyish room, she plans on changing his bedding to a retired Pottery Barn airplane bedding set with similar colors.

While new design challenges take  me a little longer to map out, and get the colors right,  I find it very rewarding to see the finished product.

Thank you Molly for choosing me to paint M’s letters.

I am so happy to announce the I have added Glitter Tattoos to my face painting services.  This new form of waterproof body art , will add sparkles of fun to your events and will have people buzzing about them for days!
Glitter tattoos
How long do they last?  They last 3-10 days with proper care and are easily removable with baby oil or rubbing alcohol.

What ages are they for?  Glitter tattoos are good for ages 3 and up! Designs vary from fun toddler favorites to adult designs.  With enough time, you can even have a company logo done or birthday girl’s name added.

Are they safe?  Yes! We only use cosmetic grade glue and glitter that is meant to be used on the skin.  These glitters cannot be found at your local craft store

How many tattoos can be completed in one hour?   Approximately 15 glitter tattoos can be done in one hour, as opposed to face painting, which is appx 8-10 per hour

What type of events  will these be good for?  Pool parties, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, corporate events, birthday parties, Sweet 16, grand openings, trade shows, special events, fundraisers… the list can go on

What is your service area?  There are too many places to name.  I currently service Boston and the surrounding cities within a 15-20 mile radius.  However, I am able to travel outside of the service area for a very small fee.

What is the cost? Glitter tattoos are a very cost effective addition to a birthday party due to the number of kids that can be completed in one hour.  Pricing is competitive and depends on the package you select along with the location and number of people in your event.

In honor of the Dia de los Muertos, celebrated November 1-2, 2011,  I decided to share a quick tutorial on how to do a simple one on a child.

1. Start off with the base color by painting the child’s face all white.

Be sure to let the paint dry before moving to the next step

2.  Paint dark purple (or any dark color) around the eyes.  Take another color and create the “flower” design around the circle.  Keep in mind that I purposely, mixed the pink with a little purple as I went so the color had more depth.

Feel free to pick any bright color for this. I just chose purple and pink

3. On the forehead, paint a spider shape design.  Also, you can add your own flair with spiders, shapes, and swirls.  Paint the nose black as pictured.

You can also fill in the entire nose with black in a shape similar to an upside down heart.

4. Add a flower to the chin in a different bright color.

5. Add rhinestones to the “Flower pedals” around the eye. You can use eyelash glue to keep them in place.  Rhinestones can be purchased here.

6. Draw a line starting from the corner of each side of the mouth, following the jaw line,  then draw vertical stripes on the lips.

7. Hot glue clips onto fake flowers to attach to the hair to add drama to the  final look

Since summertime is just around the corner, I thought it would be appropriate to share this fun baking activity you can do with your kids. These are also great for themed birthday parties!
STEP 1: Pick any yellow cake batter box from your local supermarket and follow the directions on the box.
Step 2: Separate the batter into different bowls adding food coloring of your choice.
STEP 3:  Now have the kids spoon different batter colors  into the cupcake tray.  Have them experiment with different color combination.
STEP 4: When all is complete, place in the oven and cook according to the directions on the box
STEP 5: Remove from oven and let cool
STEP 6:  Once cooled, frost and decorate as desired, and enjoy!
STEP 7: Enjoy!! Everyone will enjoy seeing how he colors blend when you cut through them.
In my recent project of doing Wall Letters to match Pottery Barn’s Oscar Car bedding, I spent extra time getting the colors exactly right! It really makes a difference to have the actual bedding mailed to you, which is why I photographed the pillowcase with the letters, so you can see my matchy matchy! :)
I hope baby Jack loves his primary colored letters!!!
